LONDON RESIDENTIAL WEEK

May 20th-24th 2013

30 children and 5 teachers...
The School goes quiet for the week ...

Mr Marrable, Mr Syrett and Mr Hunn will not be available that week.

The annual London Residential Field Week will be leaving on the National Express East Anglia train from Ipswich Station at 10.05 a.m. on Monday 20th May.

The children will be... visiting the Houses of Parliament, attending a workshop in Portcullis House and meeting our MP Ben Gummer, having a conducted tour of the new BBC studios, travelling on the Docklands Light Railway through Canary Wharf, taking the only foot-tunnel under the Thames, visiting the Cutty Sark tea clipper, taking a boat trip from Greenwhich to Westminster, visiting 10 Downing Street, watching an I-Max film, seeing dinosaurs in the Natural History Museum, visitng the Science Museum and having great workshops playing in the world's greatest adventre playground... and much, much more.

Your child could also be a part of this when they get to Year 5 or 6.

Mr White will make sure the children in Years 5 and 6 who are not going will have an adventurous and memorable week.

The 2012 Suffolk League table of Schools was published on 14th December. Above is the comparison of Morland with the other Schools around us. There is no comment apart from saying how pleased we are with the results and that the Government has recognized the good progress children make at Morland.

This is the second highest band (of 6) as our attainment is consistently above the National Expectation in all of the targets set by the Department of Education.
